Prepare for some great food, fun and frivolity as the Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce hosts the Biggest Little Banquet on Saturday, 29 August.
The three-course banquet features produce grown locally at the Community Gardens prepared by Coolamon Tree Bistro, the Italian Joint and Mullumbimby State High School and accompanied by organic wine and beer.
Kicking off at 7pm, the event will be a spectacle of more than 150 guests sitting at a single banquet table stretching down Burringbar Street.
Organiser Jenelle Stanford says the event will be something new for Mullum.
“It will be a real demonstration of community as hundreds of people all break bread at the same table,” Jenelle says.
“Everyone’s really excited about the banquet, we expect a sell-out event.”
Tickets are $50 per person and are available now from Mullumbimby Newsagency.
During the event, local traffic will be diverted to avoid the Burringbar Street road closure from the Council Chambers to the Post Office.
